BARACON has abandoned plans to build a $100-million-plus, 41-level skyscraper in Southbank, and has now listed the development site for sale.
Baracon can expect to make about $12 million for the 1344 square metre site at 133 – 139 City Road, which will be sold with a permit for a 284-unit complex.
In 2008, and during the economic downturn, Baracon marketed a unique apartment project, Wrap, which was to have included 108 hotel suites on the lower levels, and 176 “own your own” apartments, up top.
