SOUTH Melbourne’s next skyscraper will rise from the former headquarters of radio stations 3AW693 and Magic1278.

Kingsford Property has just started marketing apartments within a new 15-level development, Aero, this month. Prices start at $399,000 for a one-bedroom apartment with a car park.

Fairfax Media sold the office to developers for about $5.5 million last July, moving its radio staff to Media House in Docklands, with its newspaper and online media divisions.
