GPT, Besen Unveil Major Extension of Highpoint Shopping Centre, Maribyrnong
SYDNEY based listed property giant GPT Group has announced a new $300 million retail wing, to be developed at its Highpoint Shopping Centre, in Melbourne's north-west.
Retailer David Jones has committed to a 20-year lease at the centre. Construction will start next month and is due for completion in 2013.
Highpoint Property Group, the owner of the shopping centre, is backed by the Besen family, GPT Wholesale Shopping Centre Fund and GPT Group.
