Major Tweed Heads Project, Cobaki Lakes, Closer to Construction

A MULTIBILLION housing estate near the New South Wales/Queensland border is one step closer to commencement, after the NSW Planning Minister Tony Kelly approved “concept plans” earlier this month.

The Cobaki Lakes development – effectively a new suburb, near Tweed Heads – will eventually be hone to at least 12,000 residents.

About 5500 dwellings will replace the 594 hectare site that has sat largely dormant since redevelopment was first proposed in the 1980s.
